Using insurance for auto glass
We work with retail customers, insurance claims, and commercial fleet accounts. If your insurance covers glass, here’s how it works with us.
How to set up your claim
To set up an insurance claim, call your insurance company and give them our name and phone number: Super Auto Glass, 415-279-5898. We’ll do the rest.
Two ways to handle it
1. We bill your insurance company directly
We take care of billing your insurance company for the work.
2. Pay now, get reimbursed
For faster job times, you can pay the invoice out of pocket at the end of the job, and your insurance company reimburses you. Reimbursement timing depends on your insurance company.
Your right to choose your glass shop
In California, you choose who repairs your vehicle, not your insurance company. Under California Insurance Code section 758.5:
- Your insurance company can’t require you to use a specific repair shop.
- It can only suggest or recommend a shop if you ask for a referral, or if it has told you in writing that you have the right to choose.
- Once you’ve chosen a shop, it can’t suggest you switch to a different one.
So if you’d like Super Auto Glass to do the work, just tell your insurance company you’ve chosen us and give them our name and phone number. We’ll do the rest.
Read the law yourself: California Insurance Code §758.5 (California Legislative Information). This is general information, not legal advice.
Heavy equipment
We don’t accept insurance for heavy equipment glass. You’ll get a clear, upfront quote to pay directly.
